The Azov-Black Sea branch of the Russian State Research Center of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) was presented by Anton Polin, Head of the Aquaculture Center, PhD in Biology. In his report, he spoke about the activities of VNIRO, its special role as the flagship of fisheries science in Russia, the high status of the scientific center, as well as the structure, area of responsibility and main areas of work of the Azov-Black Sea branch in general and the "Kerch" department in particular.
The speaker particularly emphasized the multidisciplinary nature of the research conducted by VNIRO and the opportunity for every interested promising specialist, be it an ichthyologist, fish farmer, technologist or hydrochemist, to find application for their knowledge and skills in the structure of the branch.
After the speech, the rector of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "KSMTU" Evgeny Masyutkin thanked the Azov-Black Sea branch of VNIRO for reliable partnership and fruitful cooperation, and Anton Polin for assistance in organizing and holding the event.
Regular participation of VNIRO specialists in such events contributes to the popularization of science among young people and helps to form a future personnel reserve for the fisheries industry.
