Defense of a candidate's thesis by an employee of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO)

After graduating from graduate school in 2020, Alexander Vorobyov (chief specialist of the sturgeon breeding and acclimatization laboratory of the freshwater fisheries branch of VNIRO) worked hard for several years to write a paper on the topic “The influence of water temperature during the non-spawning period on gametogenesis and reproductive performance of female Siberian sturgeon (Acipenser) baerii Brandt, 1869) in industrial farms.”
 
The defense took place in Kaliningrad at a meeting of the dissertation council created on the basis of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Kaliningrad State Technical University". The official opponents were: Sergey Vladimirovich Ponomarev, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "AGTU" and Elena Vitalievna Pishchenko, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "NGAU". The meeting lasted 3 hours, as a result of which the dissertation council decided to award Alexander Pavlovich Vorobyov the academic degree of Candidate of Biological Sciences. In the near future, the council will send the documents to the Higher Attestation Commission, which will issue an order to award the researcher an academic degree.
