Holidays in Rybnoye: an exciting trip for children and their parents

 

At the beginning of the excursion, the children, together with their parents, went on a tour of the laboratories. The children got acquainted with the ichthyopathology laboratory, where they were told that even fish have their own diseases, which are studied and treated by our institute. Then the excursion took place in the department of environmental toxicology, where the audience was told about the work of the department, and also conducted several exciting experiments and given the opportunity to try to help specialists in these experiments. And the final part - the Cryobiology laboratory, where, of course, the children were most impressed by the liquid nitrogen, which effectively evaporated from the cryobank.

 

The excursion continued in the workshops of the Branch. The specialists were happy to tell about the conditions for successful fish growth, the importance of clean water and proper nutrition. They also gave the children the opportunity to feed the fish, which made the tour more exciting and memorable.

 

Everyone was delighted with the opportunity to see the production from the inside and ask questions to experienced specialists!

 

We also managed to visit the Branch library, which contains and carefully stores scientific works not only of the branch employees, but also of other scientific institutes. There are publications that are more than 100 years old (1899, 1901, 1915), pre-war scientific works, as well as from the period of the Great Patriotic War.

 

The excursion ended at the ponds of "Fishing in Rybalnoye". The children not only walked through the picturesque area, had fun playing different games, but were also able to enjoy freshly brewed fish soup, prepared according to a traditional recipe and aromatic tea with a variety of sweets to please little gourmets!

 

At the end of the event, all participants received souvenirs from the Branch. We hope that our tour will long remind us of a wonderful time spent and will leave only positive emotions in each listener.
