The meeting presented information on the results of the work of the fishery complex in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
The most important topic of the meeting was the expansion of the list of species and geography of the release of aquatic bioresources through artificial reproduction in water bodies of the East Siberian fishery basin. At present, the list of recommended species for the region includes Siberian sturgeon and peled.
For the proposed species, the Yakut branch of the State Research Center of the Russian Federation "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (VNIRO) determined average weights for use in calculating the volume of released aquatic bioresources.
Continuing the topic of artificial reproduction, fish farms presented reports on the work done in 2024 and shared plans for 2025-2026. The Yakut branch presented information on the biotechnical indicators for growing aquatic bioresources and on the work carried out to amend the maximum annual volumes of juveniles (larvae) of aquatic bioresources subject to release into water bodies in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), based on artificial reproduction plans.
Then they spoke about the volumes of the projected catch for 2025 and the results of the work to amend the Fishing Rules for the East Siberian Fishery Basin.
At the end of the meeting, Ivanik M.S. was presented with the Council's work plan for 2025.
