Monitoring studies on the Iriklinskoye reservoir and the Ural River

From May 19 to 25, specialists from the Saratov branch of the Russian State Research Center “All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography” (VNIRO) conducted field research on the Iriklinskoye Reservoir and the Ural River in the Orenburg Region.

Hydrochemical (25 samples) and hydrobiological (36 samples) samples were collected at 4 monitoring sections of the reservoir at 12 stations and the Ural River.

At all planned sampling stations, measurements of hydrological parameters such as depth, transparency, and the nature of the reservoir soil were taken.

The samples were transferred to the branch for office processing in laboratory conditions. Based on the data obtained, an assessment of the food supply and habitat will be made.
