The rating is aimed at identifying talented young scientists who have been working effectively and actively throughout the year in 7 categories: publication activity, participation in conference presentations, scientific supervision and mentoring, improving their competence, defending dissertations, participating in expeditionary and field research, organizational and popular science activities.
The top ten for 2024 included 4 young scientists from the Central Institute, 1 from each of the Freshwater Fisheries Branch, the Pacific, Volga-Caspian, Azov-Black Sea, St. Petersburg and Volgograd branches.
First place went to Natalia Kharchenko, Head of the Standardization and Regulation Group of the Volga-Caspian Branch, who scored a large number of points for writing articles, presentations, and organizing scientific and industry events; second place went to Nikita Zarubin, Leading Researcher of the Innovative Technologies Department of the Central Institute, who also scored points for writing articles, including in foreign journals, as well as for conducting internships/trainings for students on the topics of the Institute's work; third place went to Elizaveta Lavrukhina, Chief Specialist of the Innovative Technologies Department of the Central Institute, who, in addition to publishing articles in publications from the HAC list, participated in conducting internships/trainings for students on the topics of the Institute's work.
The second "ten" included 2 young scientists from the Freshwater Fisheries Branch and the Polar Branch, and 1 from the Central Institute, the Volga-Caspian, Volgograd, St. Petersburg, Sakhalin, and Tyumen branches.
A total of 94 young scientists and specialists from the Central Institute and 20 branches took part in the rating.
