Summer expedition on the ship "Vladimir Uskov" completed

The planned summer expedition of the Tatar branch of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) was completed on schedule on August 6. The scientific group completed the voyage task in full.
 
The purpose of the expedition work was to collect material on the state assignment - topics 4.1. (state monitoring of WBR), 4.2. (preparation of ODU and RV materials), applied topic No. 26 (collection of material on narrow-clawed crayfish) and a topic within the framework of entrepreneurial activity (construction of a bridge crossing near the city of Tolyatti). As part of joint work with the Kazan Federal University, water samples were collected to assess the content of microplastics.
 
During work on the Kuibyshev Reservoir on topic 4.1., hydrobiological material was collected (phytoplankton, zooplankton, zoobenthos, as well as recording hydrological and hydrochemical parameters of the environment) at 10 sections; Topic 4.2. The ichthyofauna was caught using fixed nets with a mesh size of 30 mm to 70 mm, 30 and 60 m long, 1.8 m and 3.5 high. In the water area of ​​the reservoir near the city of Tolyatti, in the area of ​​the bridge crossing, the corresponding contractual studies were conducted to collect hydrobiological, hydrological and ichthyological material.
 
At the Nizhnekamsk reservoir, hydrobiological studies were carried out at 5 sections. Ichthyofauna was caught at 4 sites.
 
All collected material was delivered to the branch laboratories for further office processing.
