The meeting was attended by representatives of executive authorities, international organizations, business structures, industry associations of the EAEU member states, VNIRO scientists and specialists from other research and educational institutions.
Ilya Shestakov, Head of the Federal Agency for Fisheries, addressed the participants of the meeting with a welcoming speech. He noted the significant achievements of the fishing industry in increasing the volume of catch of aquatic biological resources, and also spoke about the key prospects for the development of the fisheries complex of our country, including the construction of new facilities for the cultivation of fry and the production of high-quality feed for aquaculture.
Within the framework of the Round Table, the priority of ensuring the interaction of all participants in the production and logistics chain of the fisheries sector, public authorities and scientific organizations within the framework of measures for technological, personnel, methodological modernization of aquaculture and fisheries in the EAEU member states was considered.

The head of the Aquaculture Center Irina Burlachenko presented a report on the peculiarities of the impact of aquaculture breeding on the ecological state of reservoirs.
Lyubov Abramova, Deputy Head of the Department for the Quality of Fish Food Products, spoke about the new requirements for fish products in international trade.
The problems of the report of the Deputy Director for Scientific Work of VNIRO Elena Harenko was devoted to the description of the patterns of changing preferences among modern consumers of fish products.
