VNIRO specialists took part in the scientific and practical seminar "Current issues of development of the system of state certification of scientific and scientific-pedagogical workers"

On March 24, Oksana Dudina, Head of the Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Department of the Russian State Research Center of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO), and Marina Tronina, Academic Secretary of the Dissertation Defense Council for the Degree of Candidate of Sciences and the Degree of Doctor of Sciences 37.1.001.02, created on the basis of VNIRO, took part in the work of the scientific and practical seminar "Current Issues of Developing the System of State Certification of Scientific and Scientific-Pedagogical Workers", held by the Higher Attestation Commission under the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and the Department of Certification of Scientific and Scientific-Pedagogical Workers of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia on the basis of the Don State Technical University (Rostov-on-Don).
 
The following key issues were discussed during the seminar:
 
  • modernization of the system of state scientific certification;
  • functioning of the network of dissertation councils;
  • the procedure for preparing and forming certification files of applicants for academic degrees;
  • assignment of academic titles of professor and associate professor, features of recognition of foreign academic degrees and foreign academic titles in Russia.
After the plenary session, the seminar continued in the format of "live" communication at discussion platforms in the following areas: "Transformation of the state system of scientific certification"; "Network of dissertation councils: requirements for opening and resuming activities" and "Typical errors in the preparation of certification files of applicants for academic degrees".
 
The seminar participants were able to ask specific questions to the organizers of the event, exchange experiences and receive detailed recommendations necessary for their work.
