Projected volumes of Pacific salmon production (catch) for the Far Eastern fishery basin for 2025 were discussed at VNIRO

On January 24, the Central Institute of the State Research Center of the Russian Federation "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (VNIRO) held a meeting of the Academic Council chaired by the director, Doctor of Economics Kirill Kolonchin, combined with the Industry Council on Fishery Forecasting under the Federal Agency for Fisheries.
The Council discussed materials substantiating the projected volumes of production (catch) of Pacific salmon in the inland waters of the Russian Federation and in the territorial sea of ​​the Russian Federation in the Russian Far East in 2025. The report was made by the director of anadromous fish of Russia Olga Maznikova, who reported that the total volume of catch of Pacific salmon by industry science specialists was substantiated at the level of 311 thousand tons. The heads of the Far Eastern branches of the institute were present at the Academic Council. Employees of the VNIRO branches took part in the work of the council on VKS.
 
The manuscript “Catalog-prospectus of scientific research carried out by the State Scientific Center of the Russian Federation FGBNU “VNIRO” in 2020-2024” was also submitted for consideration.
