The guests presented the book "Minister Alexander Ishkov. On the 120th anniversary of his birth" (author and compiler — V. K. Zilanov) and told about the strategic tasks that A. A. Ishkov solved, relying on Russian science.
The event took place on the eve of the unveiling of the monument to the Minister of Fisheries of the USSR Alexander Ishkov on the territory of Dalrybvtuz. Vyacheslav Zilanov, who worked with the minister for about 40 years, shared his memories of the tremendous work of specialists of that era: the creation of a scientific and search fleet, the development of ocean fishing, building a complete chain from production to marketing. It was these efforts that became the basis for the flourishing of the country's fisheries.
The meeting was a significant event for the team. The honored guests expressed the hope that the modern scientific community and specialized institutions of Rosrybolovstvo will continue to rely on the legacy of A. A. Ishkov and reach new heights in the development of the industry.
