The parties confirmed that regular meetings of the Working Group facilitate the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in May 2024 and enable the development of sustainable scientific collaboration in aquaculture.
During the meeting, the participants summarized the results of their collaboration in 2025 and outlined plans for 2026. Areas of joint research discussed included carp breeding and genetics, feed development, cooperation on salmonid species, specialist exchange, and the creation of a scientific and technical information exchange center.
Special attention was given to the project to establish a Russian-Chinese laboratory on compound feed and aquaculture at the VNIRO freshwater fisheries branch, as well as to the exchange of breeding material and the development of mechanisms for scientific exchange between the countries.
Meeting participants expressed satisfaction with the results of the Working Group's work and confirmed their intention to continue deepening bilateral scientific cooperation between Russia and China in the field of aquaculture.
