During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for aquaculture development in Russia and Chile, as well as the production and use of feed for fish farming.
On the Russian side, specialists Victoria Barinova and Roman Artemov presented reports on the current state of domestic aquaculture and the development of feed resources. The IFOP delegation, in turn, presented a presentation on the institute's activities and key areas of Chile's aquaculture sector. The discussion was conducted in a businesslike and informative format, with participants exchanging experiences and practical developments.
The Chilean guests were given a tour of the branch's fish pathogen research laboratories, where they learned about modern methods for diagnosing and monitoring aquatic bioresource diseases. The delegation also visited the Baltic Coast fish processing plant, which collaborates with the branch, where they were shown the technological processes and the system of interaction between science and industry.
