Meeting with Vyacheslav Zilanov

On October 16, the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) held a meeting dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the legendary USSR Minister of Fisheries, Alexander Akimovich Ishkov.
 
Alexander Ishkov is a symbol of the heyday of the Soviet fisheries industry, a man whose leadership created a cutting-edge fisheries complex, whose experience was adopted by leading world powers.
 
Vyacheslav Zilanov, a distinguished worker in the fisheries sector, was the event's guest of honor. He presented his new book, written in honor of Alexander Ishkov's birthday, to the institute staff.
 
Vyacheslav Konstantinovich shared his memories, emphasizing the Minister's strategic vision and innovative approach. He spoke about the ambitious goals Alexander Akimovich set for himself and the enormous work carried out to achieve them.
 
During the meeting, a film was shown about the foundation stone laying ceremony for the future monument to Alexander Ishkov, which took place on September 24 in Vladivostok, on the campus of the Far Eastern State Technical Fisheries University. The film allowed the meeting participants to gain an even deeper understanding of Ishkov's personality and his significant contribution to the development of the country's fishing industry.
 
The meeting with Vyacheslav Zilanov was a significant event for the VNIRO team, allowing them to connect with history and pay tribute to a great man whose name is forever inscribed in the annals of Russian fisheries.
