During the assessment, the fish were sexed and tagged. They were weighed, and their gonad maturity was assessed. The specimens that will participate in the 2026 spawning campaign are housed in tanks in the long-term holding facility; the remaining specimens are being held in wintering ponds for the winter.
An analysis of the maintenance conditions of sturgeon broodstock during the summer period is underway, and the reproductive performance of the spawners is being assessed for participation in the 2026 spawning campaign. Registers of broodstock and assessment reports are being prepared.
