Dagestan fishermen began spring fishing of semi-pass and river fish species in accordance with fishing rules from February 22. At the beginning of Putin's catch was zero, later bream, carp, crucian carp, asp, gustera, fisherman began to be caught, single specimens of perch and pike were recorded. Fishing is carried out by eight fishing enterprises mainly by fixed nets. In total, at the end of February 2026, 127 tons of fish were caught, of which 30 tons of carp and 27 tons of crucian carp.
Kalmyk fishermen this year, as in 2025, began spring Putin in the North Caspian off the coast of the Republic of Kalmykia later than allowed by the fishing rules, from February 22, due to weather conditions - freezing and ice breaking.
Fishing was mainly carried out with fixed nets. The secret has not yet been used to avoid their damage, since the Volga water entering the northwestern part of the sea comes with broken ice, small ice fields.
The catch as of March 1 was less than 50 tons, including 45 tons of fish species for which a catch is generally permissible (ODE). Among ODE-usable fish, carp dominates, its share is 61.0%, pike is a subdominant 23.0%, bream is in third place 11.3%.
Since March 3, fishing has not been carried out due to driven winds of the north-west direction with gusts up to 9-10 m/s. With such winds, due to the modern low water level in the Caspian Sea, the Lagan shipping channel becomes impassable for small vessels of fishermen.
