The dissertation topics for TINRO postgraduate students have been approved

At an extended meeting of the Academic Council of the Pacific Branch of the Russian State Research Center of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) on December 1, dissertation topics, supervisors, and individual work plans were approved for first-year graduate students at the branch.
 
Eight young specialists presented presentations explaining their chosen dissertation topics, outlining the goals, objectives, preliminary plans, scientific novelty, and practical significance of their work.
 
The planned research area ranges from Peter the Great Bay to the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.
 
The graduate students are enrolled in programs including 1.5.13 "Ichthyology," 1.5.16 "Hydrobiology," 1.5.20 "Biological Resources," 4.2.6 "Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Commercial Fisheries," and 4.3.3 "Food Systems."
 
Future supervisors and other scientists assessed the graduate students' research prospects, shared recommendations for organizing their work, and expressed their hope that they would achieve concrete results by the end of their first year of study.
