The scientific journal Izvestia TINRO has been published since 1928. Initially, the magazine was called Izvestia TONES (Pacific Scientific Station). In 1930, it was renamed Izvestiya TIRKH, the Pacific Institute of Fisheries. And already in 1937, the magazine received its modern name – Izvestia TINRO.
The journal is aimed at familiarizing the scientific community with the achievements in various areas of fisheries research.
Specialists from the Pacific and other branches of VNIRO, as well as other scientific organizations, publish their works in it. The scientific journal will be of interest to specialists, students, teachers, graduate students and researchers in the field of fisheries.
In 2002, by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission, the journal Izvestia TINRO was included in the list of leading scientific journals and publications in Russia. Currently, the journal is included in the List of the Higher Attestation Commission as a publication with a translated version, which is included in international databases and citation systems (CA(pt), Scopus, Springer, WoS).
The journal is indexed in eLIBRARY.RU , RSCI, the core of the RSCI, RSCI, CrossRef, DOAJ and is included in the Databases: Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI), Google Scholar Academy, Dimensions, EBSCO, Library of Congress, SOCIONET, WorldCat, Higher Attestation Commission (since 2002), DOAJ.
The interdepartmental working group on the formation and updating of the Unified State List of Scientific Publications (the "White List") has awarded the scientific journal Izvestia TINRO the II level.
