Kirill Kolonchin, Director, Doctor of Economics, congratulated all employees on receiving such a high award and stressed: "This award is the result of many years of hard work by several generations of scientists, researchers and sailors. Today VNIRO is a reliable scientific and analytical center of the industry, with a wide network of branches from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok."
He also noted that the scientific support provided by the institute contributes to maintaining Russia's position as one of the leading fishing powers. Regular expeditions in the Arctic and Antarctic latitudes, the introduction of digital technologies and the development of aquaculture are designed to make domestic science an effective applied tool for the sustainable development of the country's economy.
At the same time, Kirill Viktorovich read out Ilya Shestakov's welcome address, in which the head of Rosrybolovstvo conveyed his congratulations and wishes to the institute staff.
"Your contribution to the development of the fisheries sector cannot be overestimated. It is thanks to VNIRO's scientific support that Russia maintains and strengthens its position as one of the world's leading fishing powers. The results of your research form the basis for strategies for the rational exploitation of bioresources of the world's oceans, freshwater reservoirs and the development of aquaculture. Your comprehensive expeditions in the Arctic and Antarctic latitudes, in the World Ocean, as well as in the exclusive economic zone of Russia, allow not only to maintain a fragile ecological balance, but also to open new horizons for domestic fishing. On this solemn day, I wish the large VNIRO team new large-scale achievements and breakthrough ideas! May this award become a powerful incentive for further progress, towards new discoveries for the benefit of our Fatherland!" said Ilya Vasilyevich.
Then Deputy Director Vyacheslav Betin, Director of Scientific Work Oleg Bulatov, Advisor to the Director Vladimir Belyaev, Deputy Director of Scientific Work Vyacheslav Bizikov and others delivered congratulatory speeches.
