Representatives from the Saratov, Tatar, Nizhny Novgorod, and Perm branches of VNIRO, as well as Svetlana Brazhnik, Head of the Freshwater Fish Division of the Department of Aquatic Bioresources and Their Habitat at the Central Institute, gathered at the Middle Volga branch.
Efim Kozhurin, Head of the Middle Volga branch, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech and congratulated the VNIRO staff on being awarded the Order of Honor. This prestigious state award symbolizes recognition of the institute's long-standing efforts and achievements in scientific research and the development of the Russian fisheries industry.
The participants in the reporting session presented 14 papers covering a wide range of scientific research.
Each paper generated keen interest and active discussion. The session highlighted the high productivity and practical significance of the research conducted by VNIRO branches in 2025. Conclusions were formulated and decisions were made to improve the effectiveness of research activities and ensure the sustainable development of the fisheries sector in the regions.
