Trawl surveys on the Tsimlyansk Reservoir

 

Three 13-day cruises were completed on the research vessel Vasily Vasilyev in November of this year. The expeditions were aimed at fishing deepwater aquatic biological resource distribution areas with a trawl during the autumn feeding season. The surveys were carried out in all reaches of the reservoir using a traditional station grid, which included over 30 sites, and 37 trawls were conducted. A total of 21 fish species were caught, the most common being bream, crucian carp, white bream, pike-perch, catfish, common carp, perch, and silver carp.

 

During the analysis of the catches, juvenile bream, pike-perch, common carp, and catfish were frequently noted. Work using the research vessel Vasily Vasiliev to count aquatic biological resources during the wintering period will continue until the end of December 2025.
