VNIRO at the International Ecology Forum

Specialists from the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) took part in a landmark event for the whole country - the XVII International Ecology Forum, which was held on April 14-15 in Moscow.

The event, dedicated to the Day of Environmental Knowledge, brought together more than 1,300 participants: representatives of government, business, science, mass media and non-profit organizations from 70 regions of Russia and abroad.

The forum included: a plenary session discussing the strategy of the state, the role of business and society in the implementation of environmental projects; strategic and panel sessions on environmental safety, digitalization, the introduction of AI, biodiversity conservation, the development of a "green" economy and environmental education, round tables and working sessions on industrial modernization, ecotourism, sustainable development of megacities, new financial instruments for the environment, as well as an exhibition of leading environmental practices and innovations.

VNIRO specialists presented their developments and exchanged experiences with colleagues, discussed topical issues of conservation of water resources, biotechnologies and adaptation to climate change.

Participation in the forum is an opportunity not only to announce your projects, but also to integrate best practices into work across the country.

Based on the results of the forum, a draft resolution is being formed, which will be sent to the federal authorities for consideration in public policy. Initiatives from previous years are already being implemented, and new proposals are being actively worked out jointly with relevant departments.

The Ecology Forum is not just an event, but a real tool for change. Government, business, science and society meet here to build a sustainable future for Russia together.
