VNIRO at the XVII National Scientific and Practical Conference

The XVII National (All-Russian) Scientific and Practical Conference "Natural Resources, their current state, protection, commercial and technical use" was held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at the Kamchatka State Technical University.
 
The main purpose of the conference is to organize a productive discussion and exchange of experience between representatives of the scientific community and young specialists. The focus is on studying the current state of natural resources, developing effective measures to protect them and implementing principles of rational use.
 
The conference was opened by Evgeny Lobkov, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Aquatic Bioresources, Fisheries and Aquaculture at Kamchatka State Technical University.
 
The conference was attended by representatives of scientific and public organizations, government authorities. The plenary session presented reports on key issues of our time: the dynamics of environmental processes, strategies for solving environmental problems and promising approaches to the management of biological resources.
 
The thematic sections worked in the following relevant areas: aquatic bioresources and fisheries development; environmental management and the state of the natural environment; new food technologies; IT solutions and automation in the fisheries sector.
 
The Ural branch of the Scientific Research Center of the Russian Federation "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (VNIRO) is represented by specialists from the Laboratory of Aquatic Biological Resources: Ivanina N.A. and Yalkovsky S.V. (report on the results and prospects of centuries-old fish farming on Lake Irtyash); Lugaskov A.V. and Chernogubov A.V. (on the variability of the morphological appearance of ripus in the process acclimatization in the Urals); Mineev A.G. , Cherogubov A.V. and Sumin G.V. (on the ichthyofauna of Lake Tygish, which has not yet been described in the literature).
 
Based on the results of the conference, it is planned to publish a collection of materials, which will include articles by our experts on the state of populations of various species of commercial fish in the reservoirs of the Urals.
