VNIRO conducted comprehensive ecological and fisheries research in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug

In August and September of this year, specialists from the Northern Branch of the Russian State Research Center "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (VNIRO) conducted ecological and fisheries research in water bodies within the boundaries of the R. Trebs field under a contractual agreement with Rosneft-NTC LLC.

The research included a range of ichthyological, hydrobiological, and hydrological fieldwork on lakes, rivers, and streams. According to the work program, zooplankton, phytoplankton, and zoobenthos samples were collected at monitoring stations, and various mesh gill nets were deployed.

This project exemplifies a subsoil user's responsible approach to the environment and strict compliance with current environmental legislation, which requires measures to conserve aquatic bioresources at all stages of economic activity, beginning with engineering surveys.
