Among the participants are the heads and specialists of the Northeastern, Primorsky, Amur, Okhotsk and Sakhalin–Kuril territorial administrations of Rosrybolovstvo, SSC RF "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (VNIRO), FSBI Glavrybvod and their branches.
Key results: in order to increase the effectiveness of measures taken to conserve aquatic biological resources and their habitat, employees of industry institutions exchanged experiences in solving urgent problems and discussed a wide range of issues related to optimizing interdepartmental cooperation.
Alexey Buyakov, Adviser to the Head of the Pacific Branch of VNIRO, and Svetlana Bogacheva, Head of the Advanced Research and Expertise Department, took part in the meeting. The report, presented by industry science, is devoted to the importance of conducting fisheries research in the eastern sector of the Arctic of the Russian Federation, as well as the development of measures for the conservation of aquatic biological resources in this region.
The Russian North is a complex region that always attracts the interest of brave and strong people, real leaders. Despite the peculiarities that make it difficult to study the Arctic, research directly related to its development and rational sustainable development will continue.
