The main task of the scientists was to collect ichthyofauna and assess the yield of juvenile aquatic biological resources, while hydrobiological and hydrochemical samples were taken in parallel.
Despite the difficult spring conditions — an early warm—up in March was replaced by a sharp and prolonged cold snap - the high water level and its gradual decrease in summer had a positive effect on the performance of juveniles. 15 species of fish were recorded in the catches. The concentration of fingerlings of bream, walleye and carp is especially noticeable. For the first time in many years, the juvenile bersha of the current year has been taken into account. The high density of two-year-old bream suggests that 2025 proved to be a fruitful year for this important commercial species.
In addition, during the monitoring, juvenile white carp weighing an average of 60 grams were found, which confirms that the reservoir is regularly stocked with this valuable species.
