Specialists from the Central Institute, the Azov-Black Sea Branch, and the Freshwater Fisheries Branch of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) presented papers on the identification of pure species and hybrid forms of silver carp, the assessment of genetic diversity in sturgeon hatcheries, and the conservation of natural polymorphism in sturgeon.
The papers generated great interest and lively discussions, and the exchange of experience with colleagues led to new ideas for the conservation and replenishment of aquatic biological resources in Russia and Belarus.
The high professionalism of the participants, the informative papers, and the active participation in the discussions made the event a significant scientific event and a platform for knowledge sharing.
