Meetings were held with the chief fish farmers and heads of enterprises of LLC Salmo, LLC SKRK, LLC Meridian, LLC Ocean, etc., where the results of feeding in the current season and interaction plans for 2027 were discussed. In addition, VNIRO specialists participated in the release of juvenile chum salmon into their natural habitat at the Okhotsk Oil Refinery. At all LRZ, juvenile chum salmon reached the standard size and significantly exceeded the weight of 0.8 g with a survival rate of more than 99%, which confirms the effectiveness of compound feeds and the correctness of the chosen strategy for their use.
VNIRO's profile department will continue research in 2027 on improving compound feeds for Pacific salmon. The main focus of the work will be on the formation of immunity of young Pacific salmon to ensure their resistance to external factors when released into their natural habitat.
