VNIRO scientists participate in a scientific and practical conference

Since November 17, the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO), a central institute of the State Research Center of the Russian Federation, has hosted the 3rd International Scientific and Practical Conference in Memory of V.K. Babayan, "Modern Methods of Assessment and Rational Use of Aquatic Biological Resources."
 
The conference, held in person and online, is dedicated to the memory of Vladimir Konstantinovich Babayan, a prominent figure in Russian fisheries science, and continues the tradition of industry-specific methodological seminars he founded, which promote scientific communication and interdisciplinary connections.
 
The key goal of the conference is to exchange current applied research results in various fields, including quantitative biology and ecology; mathematical modeling of population and ecosystem dynamics; modern methods for assessing aquatic bioresource stocks; development of software and mathematical-methodological support for processing environmental data; fishery stock management; bioeconomic optimization; and commercial biology and aquatic ecology.
