To assess the state of the ichthyofauna at the Iriklinskoye Reservoir, fixed nets, cone traps, and a juvenile seine were used in the water use areas. The net catches were measured and age-tested. The collected samples of juvenile fish were recorded and sent to the laboratory for further analysis. These ichthyological observations will allow us to determine the species and abundance of ichthyofauna in the study area, as well as to assess the extent of anthropogenic impact.
To determine the fish food supply, samples of phytoplankton, zooplankton, and zoobenthos were collected. The samples were recorded and sent to the branch for further laboratory analysis. Water quality analysis using hydrobiological parameters will allow us to assess the biota's response to anthropogenic impacts.
Hydrochemical and hydrological parameters, such as temperature, depth, transparency, flow velocity, dissolved oxygen concentration, and pH, were measured at all planned sampling points, and the reservoir's soil composition was determined.
The December expedition to the Iriklinskoye Reservoir, aimed at comprehensive studies of the water area in water use areas, was the final one of the 2025 research season.
