Grigorenko Petr Demyanovich began his career in the central office of the Ministry of Fisheries of the USSR in August 1971. With his direct participation, a number of important events were carried out to protect the interests of the fisheries industry in the Far East, in particular, he showed himself to be the initiator and active executor of many areas of cooperation with Japan in the field of fisheries, which was facilitated by his knowledge of the language and the country as a whole.
In 1975, in the shortest possible time, he created and is still successfully operating the Russian-Japanese Commission for the Settlement of Claims Related to Fisheries, which was immediately entrusted with the entire range of bilateral relations.
In the 90s, after the industry transitioned to market economy conditions, Grigorenko P.D. accepted the offer to head the fisheries department of a joint Russian-Japanese enterprise, the main founders of which were the Pacific Directorate of Fishery Exploration and Research Fleet (TURNIF), Khabarovsk KraiRybakKolkhozSoyuz, Primorsky KraiRybakKolkhozSoyuz and the foreign trade association Sovrybflot.
Currently, Grigorenko P.D. continues to work in the industry, sharing his rich life and professional experience with VNIRO employees. In accordance with the assigned area of work, he is a permanent participant in the negotiation process of the entire complex of cooperation in the field of fisheries with Japan, as well as with the Republic of Korea.
