VNIRO specialists took part in the interregional meeting of the Federal Agency for Fisheries

From February 24-26, an interregional meeting on the conservation of aquatic biological resources and their habitats was held in Kazan. It was chaired by Mikhail Ivanik, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Fisheries.
 
Representatives of the Department of Control, Supervision, and Fisheries Protection of the Federal Agency for Fisheries, the agency's territorial offices, the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) and its branches, and specialists from the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Glavrybvod" also participated in the event.
 
During the meeting, participants discussed current and pressing issues related to the conservation of aquatic biological resources and their habitats in the Central, Volga, and Southern Federal Districts of the Russian Federation.
 
The meeting analyzed the interactions between subordinate agencies and the territorial offices of the Federal Agency for Fisheries in the areas of conservation of aquatic biological resources and their habitats, the effectiveness of artificial reproduction, and industrial and environmental monitoring of aquatic biological resources.
 
Issues related to the provision of public services, fisheries reclamation, and the coordination of economic activities at spawning grounds were also discussed.
