VNIRO supports SVO participants

The Freshwater Fisheries Branch of the Russian State Research Center "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (VNIRO), at the invitation of the Dmitrovsky Municipal District Administration, participated in a large-scale project to conduct thematic excursions for active military personnel and their families.

The main goal of the project is to fulfill the instructions of Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov, who places particular emphasis on social support for military personnel and promoting the history of their native region among the public.

Program participants were able to learn more about freshwater aquaculture, which began in the village of Rybny in 1932.

Valentina Zharikova, the branch's scientific secretary, who has dedicated her life to fisheries, greeted the guests and led the tour. She shared the history and fascinating facts about our institute and, of course, introduced them to our leading laboratories and research and production facilities.

"We are honored to host the true defenders of our homeland, as we are obligated to pass on to our children the memory of the heroic deeds of previous generations, instilling in them a sense of respect and gratitude for the people who ensured a peaceful sky above," noted Valentina Zharikova.

The event was another important step in strengthening the patriotic spirit and the importance of caring for the families of those who serve their homeland.
