The Board of Directors of fisheries research institutes under the Deputy Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation – Head of the Federal Agency for Fishery
The Board of Directors of scientific research organizations of the Federal Agency for Fishery was established in 2013 to coordinate scientific research in the fisheries sector and the rational use of federal budget funds, as well as for the development of postgraduate education and retraining. Since 2014, the Board of Directors has been chaired by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the head of the Federal Agency for Fishery (Orders of the Federal Agency for Fishery No. 815 of October 31, 2014, No. 18 of January 22, 2015 and February 13, 2015 No. 121). The Board was established as a permanent deliberative, advisory and coordinating body under the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the head of the Federal Agency for Fishery on the organization and implementation of academic activities of research organizations subordinate to the Federal Agency for Fishery. The Board determines the ways and measures for effective realization of the organization and implementation policy in the field of fisheries scientific research, identifies priority issues and ways of developing of the sectoral research, works out measures and proposals for improving the organizational structure, financial and resource base of scientific research institutes, promotes the use and implementation of scientific results, and coordinates the activities of research institutes in relation to assignments of higher authorities and interaction with the Russian Academy of Sciences and other state sectoral academies and leading educational organizations of higher education. Invited authorized representatives of scientific organizations of the Federal Agency for Fishery may take part in the meetings of the Board (without the right to vote).
