Artificial reproduction of sturgeon species of fish at fish farms of the Volgograd region

Employees of the Volgograd branch of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) are actively participating in the commission that monitors the implementation of work on the artificial reproduction of sturgeon species at fish farms in the Volgograd Region.
 
In the current fish farming season, employees of the branch have already participated more than 50 times in the commission of the Volga-Caspian Territorial Administration of the Federal Agency for Fisheries.
 
Specialists actively participated in monitoring all seasonal fish farming activities that took place from March to August 2024, from the incubation of eggs to the release of juveniles into the natural habitat, in order to monitor compliance with biotechnology in the artificial reproduction of sturgeons.
 
The Volgograd branch of VNIRO takes part in commissions in order to improve the competencies of young employees, as well as to obtain scientific data on sturgeons of the Volga River.
