Bonitirovka sturgeon

On January 16, specialists from the Ural branch of the Russian State Research Center “All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography” (VNIRO) as part of the commissions for the implementation of state control, supervision, protection of aquatic biological resources and their habitat in the Chelyabinsk region took part in the assessment to update information on the replacement and broodstock of sturgeon of the Siberian-Ob population, kept in the cage line of the enterprise OOO Yuzhnouralskaya Trout.

This fish farm is the largest producer of fish seed in the Southern Urals. The fish farm is located on the ice-free section of the Yuzhnouralsk reservoir in the city of Yuzhno-Uralsk in the Chelyabinsk region.

The organization has its own broodstocks of sturgeon and carp breeders and specializes in breeding and growing trout, silver carp, carp, buffalo, sturgeon, sterlet, paddlefish, pike, catfish, pike perch, tench, grass carp, crucian carp.
