Conference "Aquaculture of the North Caucasus. Growth points and development potential"

The Russian State Research Center "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (VNIRO), with the partnership support of the MELKOM Group, held the Conference "Aquaculture of the North Caucasus. Growth Points and Development Potential." The event took place on April 2 in Vladikavkaz.
 
The event featured leading specialists from VNIRO and invited guests. The issues of preventing salmon and sturgeon diseases, scientific support for fish farms, and much more were covered. Also, the conference discussed the results of industrial use of VNIRO compound feed in 2024, which is produced at the AQUAREX plant (MELKOM Group). A presentation of a preventive line of compound feed for trout and sturgeon for work in 2025 was held.
 
The event aroused great interest among the professional community of the region. The conference was covered by the media, including Rossiya 1 and the local TV channel Ossetia. The event was attended by over 80 participants, including representatives of the largest fish farms in the North Caucasus of Russia, executive authorities and universities. A lively discussion took place on all the issues identified, and additional areas of cooperation between fish farms in the North Caucasus and VNIRO branches in the field of aquaculture and ecology of the region were outlined.
 
As part of the conference, VNIRO specialists visited the Ardon-Fish trout farm and the Gorsky State Agrarian University. Negotiations on cooperation were held at these enterprises and ways of cooperation in the field of aquaculture were outlined.
