Day without turnstiles at VNIRO

On August 22, the Central Institute of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) hosted a "Day Without Turnstiles", where anyone could take a look "behind the scenes" of fisheries science.
 
"Day Without Turnstiles" is an actively developing project of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of Moscow, which introduces Muscovites and guests of the capital to leading sites and interesting professions through excursions, master classes and interactive activities.
 
On this day, more than 20 interested people attended a tour of VNIRO.
 
In the Department of Feed and Feed Components, Sergey Bindyukov told what feed is made of, what equipment is used and what are the features of feed production in the context of import substitution.
 
Valeria Soshnina showed innovative equipment of the genetics department and genetic collections, which are currently used in the Center for Collective Use of the State Scientific Center of the Russian Federation VNIRO.
 
Ekaterina Anisimova and Sofya Kladiti warned where it is better not to fish in the Moscow region due to possible pollution and told how water samples are taken in marine and freshwater expeditions.
 
Lyubov Abramova showed how to choose caviar, and which fish is considered the best for food.
 
At the end, the guests were traditionally shown an anniversary film about VNIRO.
 
Everyone showed great interest in fisheries science and asked to repeat the "Day without turnstiles at VNIRO".
