Director of VNIRO met with the staff of the Pacific branch

 

He told the Far Eastern scientists about the modernization and construction of research vessels for the needs of fisheries science, as well as about the key documents signed at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, which determine the directions of the future work of VNIRO and its branches.

 

The Director of VNIRO emphasized the presence of support and close attention to the results of the work of fisheries science at the highest level: thanks to the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the project received federal (state) status, the President of the Russian Federation sent greetings to the organizers and participants of the Great African Expedition.

 

Kirill Kolonchin noted the high professional level of the TINRO and VNIRO Research Fleet Base (VNIRO Research Fleet Base) employees and, in the presence of Deputy Director and Head of the VNIRO Pacific Branch, PhD in Biology Alexey Baytalyuk, as well as Deputy Director and Head of the VNIRO Azov-Black Sea Branch, PhD in Biology Arsen Mirzoyan, presented awards from the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, the Federal Agency for Fisheries and VNIRO to those whose conscientious work serves as a reliable foundation for the development of domestic fisheries science.

 

The Medal "Veteran of the Fisheries of Russia" was awarded to Acting Head of VNIRO Research Fleet Base L.N. Sviridov, and the Medal "For Merits in the Development of the Fisheries of Russia" II degree was awarded to PhD in Biology E.I. Rachek, Leading Researcher of the TINRO Department of Planning, Organization and Coordination of Research in the Field of Aquaculture.
