Expedition of the Krasnoyarsk branch of VNIRO

At the end of May, an expedition of the Krasnoyarsk branch of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) began on the Krasnoyarsk Reservoir, which is an important fishing facility for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia.
During the three-week expedition, employees of the Krasnoyarsk branch of VNIRO will conduct ichthyological analysis of catches to assess the state of the fish stock, as well as take hydrobiological samples to assess the state of the fish food supply. The collected data will form the basis for materials justifying the recommended catch volume and will help ensure sustainable fishing in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia.

The Krasnoyarsk Reservoir accounts for about 40 percent of the total recorded fish catch in the Yenisei fishing region. The main objects of catch are perch and roach.
