During the trip, control net catches were carried out, the species composition of the catches, the timing of reproduction and the structure of producers in spawning stocks were established, size and mass measurements of fish species were carried out and samples were collected for biological analysis.
During the spawning period of fish, various types of artificial spawning grounds were inspected, and the quantity and species composition of eggs deposited on them were determined.
To assess the results of reproduction of spring-spawning fish species, early juveniles (larvae) of fish were caught using ichthyoplankton cone nets in the upper and lower zones of the reservoir. The results will allow us to assess the concentration and species composition of juvenile fish in various biotopes of the reservoir.
To assess the state of the food supply, a hydrobiological survey was carried out, during which samples of zooplankton and zoobenthos were collected. The studies were carried out in various biotopes of the upper, middle and lower zones of the reservoir, according to a constant grid of hydrobiological stations.
Based on the results of the work, an assessment will be made of the state of the reservoir’s food base in the spring of 2024.
