Fishing in the Arctic zone of Krasnoyarsk Krai

On December 17, an extended meeting on the development of fisheries in the Arctic zone of Krasnoyarsk Krai was held in Dudinka, Taimyr.
 
The meeting was chaired by Alexey Chlenov, Head of the Taimyr Dolgano-Nenets Municipal District of Krasnoyarsk Krai.
 
The event was attended by representatives of the Yenisei Territorial Administration of the Federal Agency for Fisheries, regulatory and supervisory authorities, as well as fishing organizations, communities of indigenous peoples of the North, and subsoil users operating in the Arctic zone.
 
The head of the Krasnoyarsk branch, Dmitry Kolesnikov, took part in the meeting on behalf of the State Research Center of the Russian Federation “All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography” (VNIRO).
 
Dmitry Krivolutsky, head of the ichthyology laboratory of the Krasnoyarsk branch of VNIRO, made a report on “Conducting fisheries research in 2024 and prospects for developing scientific research in order to improve the efficiency of fishing in water bodies of the Taimyr Dolgano-Nenets municipal district”.
 
The meeting discussed current issues of the current state of industrial fishing in Taimyr and fishing in order to ensure the traditional way of life and implementation of traditional economic activities of the indigenous peoples of the North in a dialogue mode.
 
Following the meeting, a decision was made to create a working group for interaction and solving key tasks aimed at developing fisheries in the Arctic zone of Krasnoyarsk Krai.
