Evgeniy Nikolaevich Darinov, during his period of work at VNIRO, established himself exclusively on the positive side, as a leader capable of making competent management decisions, responsible for the decisions he made and the actions of his subordinates.
Under his leadership, since 2019, the annual volume of expeditionary research in the area of responsibility of the Tyumen branch has more than doubled. He is a co-author of the scientific program of the VNIRO expedition to assess damage to the aquatic biological resources of reservoirs affected by an emergency fuel spill at CHPP-3 of the Norilsk-Taimyr Energy Company and a program of fishery research work in the water bodies of the Norilo-Pyasinsk lake-river system. Under the leadership of Evgeniy Nikolaevich, the Tyumen branch increased the volume of research work carried out several times by attracting extra-budgetary funds. There has been a tendency to increase the share of large, knowledge-intensive work at the expense of income-generating activities. The Tyumen branch is participating in the development of a program for the restoration of whitefish species in the Ob-Irtysh basin.
