The trainees gained an understanding of the main areas of work and organization of scientific activities of the branch staff, and also became familiar with the Collection of objects of the branch on fish and fisheries in the Vologda region.
The students learned a lot of interesting things about the history of fishing in the region, about the species diversity and biological characteristics of fish, and the current state of fishing and fish farming. In the process of undergoing practical training, TSU trainees mastered methods of hydrobiological and ichthyological research, and also became familiar with methods for determining the age and nutrition of fish.
