Issues of aquaculture development were discussed in Nizhny Novgorod

As part of the continuation of summing up the work of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) for the first half of 2024, a round table was held in the conference hall of the Sheraton Hotel in Nizhny Novgorod on July 5.
 
Nikolai Muge, head of the department of molecular genetics, spoke in his report about the prospects of genomic selection in carp and sturgeon farming.
 
The issues of creating a modern aquaculture farm were also discussed, a report on which was presented by the head of the department of technology and regulation of aquaculture, Victoria Barinova.
 
At the same time, the head of the VNIRO branch for freshwater fisheries, Alexey Myshkin, and the director of the department of applied research of compound feeds and scientific support of production, Roman Artemov, presented reports on compound feeds and scientific support of their production.
