Specialists of the Baikal and Tyumen branches of the Institute take part in an expedition on Lake Baikal and its tributaries.
The main objects of research are omul, roach, perch, dace. It is also planned to collect materials on the study of the Baikal sturgeon.
Based on the results of the work, it is planned to adapt the methodology of molecular genetic studies to the standard of the World Organization for Animal Health, which will contribute to the improvement of the unified diagnostic system.
