Scientists will have to conduct comprehensive studies of bioresources of commercial hydrobionts, as well as monitoring the conditions of their habitat. The objectives of the voyage also include taking into account the occurrence and study of the species composition of marine mammals and birds. In addition, the contamination of fishing facilities with potentially dangerous parasites for humans will be monitored, pathologies and diseases of fish and invertebrates will be analyzed.
The main operations in the MV TAS mode are localized in the exclusive economic zone of the Russian Federation, including areas prohibited for bottom trawling. It is planned that oceanological and scientific exploration work will be carried out in the Norwegian Economic Zone.
Upon leaving the port of Murmansk, the vessel will operate according to the grid of bottom trawling stations in the EEZ of Russia and the open part of the Barents Sea.
