Release of young white amur

On November 8, specialists from the Ural branch of the Russian State Research Center “All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography” (VNIRO) took part in the planned events of the Commission of the Lower Ob Territorial Administration of the Federal Agency for Fisheries, which monitors the implementation of work on the artificial reproduction of aquatic biological resources as part of the implementation of compensation measures.

The commission included representatives of the customer, inspectors of the department of state control, supervision and fisheries protection for the Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions, employees of “Glavrybvod” and the Ural branch of VNIRO.

In the Sverdlovsk region, white amur juveniles of at least 25 grams in a total of 25,000 specimens were released into the Nizhne-Tagil reservoir and Revda pond.

It should be noted that the release of fish planting material is one of the most important components of maintaining and preserving fish stocks in the region.
