The participants of the voyage collected material characterizing the biological state and distribution of aquatic bioresources in the Caspian Sea, the species composition and structure of trawl catches. A wide range of fish species was noted, ranging from sturgeon and sea fish to semi-anadromous species. Common sprat and bream dominated the catches in terms of numbers.
In addition to ichthyological studies, hydrological-hydrochemical, ecological-toxicological, hydrobiological material was collected and a route count of the seal was conducted.
The collected material was delivered to the branch for further processing.
The results of the voyage will be used to assess the state of aquatic biological resources in order to develop a forecast of their total allowable catch and recommended catch volume for 2026 and to characterize the habitat of aquatic biological resources.
