For 4 days, students of Gymnasium No. 7 in Krasnogorsk, under the guidance of the head of the scientific direction of VNIIPRH Valentina Zharikova, completed a mini-course in fisheries science and practical training in the “field”, as well as in the branch’s laboratories.
In addition, the cultural part of the project was also implemented: excursions and walks through the historical center of Dmitrov, as well as a master class “Eco-art”, where schoolchildren, under the guidance of Ekaterina Seromakha, created their own eco-paintings.
On the last day, the guys listened to lectures by VNIIPRH scientists on the main areas of the branch’s work. Of particular interest was the speech of the chief specialist of the Laboratory of Sturgeon Breeding and Acclimatization, Vera Ilyasova, who introduced the young listeners to the basics of histology, read her poems and talked about how she herself became a scientist.
During the testing, which took place in a quiz format, and then the deputy head of VNIIPRH, Maxim Amelin, issued certificates of completion of the course.
The success of the VNIRO project “Vacations in Rybny” assumes both its continuation in other branches of the institute, and the further development of the event format itself.
